South Africa Travel Guide
South
Africa is a large, rich in natural
beauty, most diverse, enchanting countries in the world.
Exotic combinations of landscapes, people, history and culture
offer the traveller a unique experience. South
Africa’s perceived size has been made much larger by the news.
Actually, it covers less than 3.8 percent of the continent.
Seventy percent of the population belongs to four ethnic groups: Zulu,
Xhoas, Wswana and Bapedi. Fifteen percent of the population is white, of which
60% are Afrikaners. English
and Afrikaners are spoken throughout the country. The infrastructure is constantly
improving, the climate is kind and there are few better places to see Africa's
wildlife.
South Africa is situated at the southern tip of the African continent, bordered by northern neighbours Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. It encompasses the independent mountain kingdoms of Lesotho and Swaziland and is flanked by the Atlantic Ocean on the west. The warm Indian Ocean is present in the east - giving the country its spectacular range of biodiversity.
